Saturday, June 13th, the 12^th of a monthly series will be taking place in Waxahachie’s Historic Chautauqua Auditorium. Tredway & Friends Showcases (www.tredwayandfriends.com), in conjunction with the City of Waxahachie, bring you the tenth installment of a monthly event, “Songwriters Second Saturday - In the Park”. All the music is original written by the artists themselves.

Free to the public, this will be a great way to start the summertime. A mere 30 minute drive from Dallas or 45 minute drive from Ft Worth will bring you to this historic Gingerbread City and the beautiful 33 acre Getzendaner Park and it’s spectacular Chautauqua Auditorium – a 2,500 seat open air arena built in 1902. This fabulous acoustically designed structure is the perfect home for the modern day troubadour, the singer-songwriter and all the events will be dedicated to the art and promotion of the songwriting community worldwide with monthly events planned and an annual weekend dedicated to this cause.

This 12th concert in this series will feature the country style of JIMMIE GROKETT (Sherman). The members of the TREDWAY & FRIENDS BAND, individually & collectively, will round out this months showcase. You can be sure there will be quite a bit of interplay between this band of area troubadours, RANDY TREDWAY & HELEN KENNEDY (Waxahachie), native Oak Cliff veteran bluesman MICHAEL “MUDCAT” REAMES (Frisco), rock out with Vicky Williams (Ennis), the great IAN DICKSON (McKinney) on lead guitar, and, on bass & guitar, the folk rock feel of CRAIG ST CLAIR (Dallas), the great touch of Whit Hyde on Drums and guitar & MICAH FEDOROFF (Maypearl) on Congas & Djembe will be supporting the artists as well.

Many of these same artists will perform at Dunn Bros Coffee House in Addison, Texas a week later, JUNE 20^th, 7-11 PM. They will be joined there by this month’s guest host L.A. HUDSON (Harold’s Brother) plus the music of RYAN MICHAEL GALLOWAY (Frisco) & BILLY EWING (Milford0. (Maybe CJ & RANDY & JIM NITSCHKE!)
