Saturday, December 13^th, the 6^th of a new monthly series another historic event will be taking place in Waxahachie’s Historic Chautauqua Auditorium. Tredway & Friends Showcases (www.tredwayandfriends.com), in conjunction with the City of Waxahachie and the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce, bring you the sixth installment of a new monthly event, “Songwriters Second Saturday - In the Park”.

Free to the public, this will be a fitting early fall show. A mere 30 minute drive from Dallas or 45 minute drive from Ft Worth will bring you to this historic Gingerbread City and the beautiful 33 acre Getzendaner Park and it’s spectacular Chautauqua Auditorium – a 2,500 seat open air arena built in 1902. This fabulous acoustically designed structure is the perfect home for the modern day troubadour, the singer-songwriter and all the events will be dedicated to the art and promotion of the songwriting community worldwide with monthly events planned and an annual weekend dedicated to this cause, beginning in Sept. 2009.

This 6th concert in this series will consist of all North Texas songwriters and include the following artists. Your hosts and fellow singer-songwriters will be RANDY TREDWAY (Waxahachie) & HELEN KENNEDY (Waxahachie) sharing a ½ hour set. The other feature artists this month will be ROSS VICK (Dallas), ALEX WHITMORE (Denton), MICHAEL “MUDCAT” REAMES (Frisco), WANDA MULLENS (Burleson) & PAUL JOHNSON (Rockwall) sharing a ½ hour set, BILLY EWING (Milford) & BOB ALLEN (Dallas). Sidemen Spectacular DREW “SPIDER” MINSHEW (Harmonica) & MICAH FEDOROFF (Percussion) will be supporting the artists as well.
